After the release of Call of Duty Black Ops 6, Warzone will return to its previous loot system

According to BobNetworkUk, one of the authoritative whistleblowers of the Call of Duty franchise, Warzone 2's backpack system will be removed in Black Ops 6.

The said whistleblower has also mentioned that we will see the return of the previous loot system of Warzone. Bob stated earlier in June that Verdansk, Warzone's main map, would not be released until 2025, and Insider Gaming confirmed his report. He also revealed that we will see the return of the Call of Duty Theater mode, one of the popular elements of the franchise, in Black Ops 6.

If these speculations are true, it looks like Activision will continue to capitalize on existing nostalgia next year. Also, we may see the return of Black Ops 2 stages in Call of Duty 2025 (Saturn). It is still unclear whether they will pay the same attention to the maps of Modern Warfare 3 and MW2 (2009).

Call of Duty Black Ops 6 will be released on October 25, 2024 (November 4, 2024), on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC. The Call of Duty franchise will also reach Nintendo platforms in 2025.
