According to the foreign policy group of Tasnim news agency, Ali Akbar Ahmadian, the secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, met with his Venezuelan counterpart on the sidelines of the BRICS joint meeting with some southern countries.
In this meeting, the parties emphasized on strengthening the all-round political, security and economic relations between the two countries.
Ahmadian appreciated the positions of Venezuela regarding Palestine and announced the readiness of the Islamic Republic of Iran to exchange experiences and scientific and technological achievements with the Venezuelan side and emphasized that the policy of paying attention to the Latin American region continues in the new government.
Ahmadian also met with “Wang Yi”, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of China, in continuation of his meetings in St. Petersburg.
In this meeting, a wide range of topics of interest to the two countries were discussed.
