The main countries driving registration growth in July were Spain with a 3.4 percent increase and Italy with a 4.7 percent increase. Vehicle registrations in Germany decreased by 2.1% and in France by 2.3%.
Germany saw a 36.8% drop in electric vehicle registrations in July. One of the reasons for the decline in sales in Germany was that the government's financial incentives for buying electric cars have been reduced, meaning the cars are too expensive for many buyers.
