Growing concern in France about the Olympics

According to Tasnim news agency, many representatives of the French Parliament have expressed their concern about the favorable holding of the Olympic Games, which will be held from July 26 to August 11 (August 5 to 21) in Paris, due to the unstable political and social situation in this country.

Following the recent political developments in France, the current Prime Minister Gabriel Atal has resigned, and the Minister of the Interior, Gérald Daronin, is about to do the same.

Regis Juanico, a former member of the French Parliament and a sports expert, said: We are still facing an ambiguous situation and uncertainty in the country. Currently, many questions remain unanswered. When will the new government be formed, and on the other hand, we have the Paris Olympics in two weeks. Even the Olympic torch carrying ceremony was affected by the political situation in France.

Asked by AFP about the impact of Sunday's parliamentary election results, the Olympic Organizing Committee said it had not stopped working around the clock in recent weeks to make the Games the best it could be.
