How to prepare potato gratin:
Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin layers (about 3 mm thick).
Mix the cream, milk, crushed garlic, salt, pepper and a little nutmeg in a pot and put it on a low heat until it warms up a little (do not boil).
Grease an ovenproof dish (preferably non-stick) with butter. Put a layer of potatoes on the bottom of the dish, pour some grated cheese on it and then pour some of the cream and milk mixture on it.
