Minced meat: 500 grams
Onion: 1 large (grated and drained)
Garlic: 2 cloves (finely chopped)
Pomegranate paste: 2-3 tablespoons (you can use water or a mixture of both)
Chopped parsley: 2 tablespoons
Salt, pepper and turmeric: as needed
Liquid oil: for frying
How to prepare sour pan kebab:
Put the minced meat in a large bowl. Add grated onion (watered), chopped garlic, chopped parsley, salt, pepper and turmeric. Then mix all the ingredients well until they are uniform.
Take walnut-sized balls from the meat mixture and shape them into rectangles or circles. Then press them a little with your hand so that they spread a little.
Pour some oil in a suitable pan and heat it on medium heat. Place the kebabs in the pan and fry both sides until they are completely cooked and golden.
After the kebabs are fried, add pomegranate paste or Abghoreh to the pan. Add a little water to the pan to form a sauce. Let the kebabs cook in this sauce for a few minutes so that the flavors go well with the meat.
Sour pan kebab can be served with boiled rice or fresh bread. You can use fresh vegetables and walnuts to decorate.
Due to the use of sour ingredients, this kebab has a different and pleasant taste and is usually served with traditional seasonings such as olive oil and condensed yogurt.
