Israel's condition to withdraw from the border of the Gaza Strip with Egypt

According to ISNA's online news report, Yoav Gallant, the Minister of Defense of the Israel regime, after meeting with White House official Brett McGurg, stated that the Israeli military will only withdraw from the border of the Gaza Strip with Egypt if they stop smuggling weapons from Avoid borders.

Gallant said: “A solution must be found to stop the smuggling and cut off the weapons supply routes to Hamas, so as to allow the Israeli army to withdraw from the Rafah crossing as part of the agreement to release the prisoners.”

Gallant met with Brett McGurk yesterday, Tuesday, and the two sides discussed the plan to release Israeli prisoners in exchange for a cease-fire in the Gaza Strip.

Earlier this Wednesday, Gallant claimed in the Knesset: “The achievements of the Israeli army in the Gaza Strip are great, because 60 percent of the Hamas forces were killed or wounded, and 24 of its brigades have been disintegrated.”
