LNG supplies to Europe fell to the lowest level since October 2021

Eviralnews,, citing Tass news agency, the supply of LNG gas from European terminals to the gas transmission network of the European Union decreased sharply in August 2024 and reached its lowest level since October 2021.

According to the data provided by Gas Infrastructure Europe (GIE), the supply of this gas decreased to 7.16 billion cubic meters last month, which is 12% less than July and 26% less than August last year.

The supply of LNG from terminals to the European gas transportation system from the beginning of 2024 has reached about 73.9 billion cubic meters, which is 17% less than the same period last year.

According to the figures provided by the European Network of Gas Transmission System Operators (ENTSOG), in 2024, the share of LNG gas from the total European gas supply sources until August 27 was the highest, 37%.

After LNG, North Sea gas, which is mainly Norwegian gas, is at 32%, followed by eastern terminals, including gas from Russia and Ukraine, at 12%.

According to this report, gas supply from England and North Africa was 5% and 11% respectively.
