Mali cuts diplomatic ties with Ukraine

Accusing Ukraine of complicity with the rebels of this African country, the country of Mali announced the decision to cut ties with Kiev.

According to the political group of the Anna Science and Technology News Agency, the authorities of the country of Mali have announced that they will cut off diplomatic relations with Ukraine, referring to Ukraine's interference in the internal affairs of this African country and “helping terrorist groups based in the north of Mali”.

This action of the country of Mali was carried out in the midst of controversy over the attacks late last month, when rebel and terrorist groups targeted the soldiers of the Mali army and the militants of the Russian-affiliated Wagner Group.

At the end of last month, Tuareg rebels in northern Mali claimed that they killed at least 84 of them and wounded 47 others in a clash with the Mali military forces.

On July 29, Andriy Yusuf, a spokesman for Ukraine's Military Intelligence Agency (GUR), said the Mali rebels had “received all the information they need, which would allow them to carry out operations against the Russian war.”

In response to these statements, the government of Mali announced that it was “deeply shocked” by Andriy Youssef's statements and that “Ukraine's involvement in the cowardly, treacherous and brutal attack by armed terrorist groups that led to the death of members of the Malian defense and security forces has confessed.”

In this connection, “Colonel Abdullah Maiga, the spokesman of the Mali government, announced by publishing a statement that Mali will cut off diplomatic relations with Ukraine immediately.”
