Negotiations between the Prime Ministers of Egypt and Somalia in Cairo

During this meeting, the Egyptian Prime Minister proposed to establish a business forum in Somalia to strengthen cooperation between entrepreneurs, especially in the field of agriculture.

Referring to Somalia's rich natural resources, he said: Somalia's fisheries and animal husbandry industries can meet the needs of Egypt's markets. Madbouly stated: Egypt is ready to export any goods that Somalia needs to this country.

After this meeting, the Somali ambassador in Cairo said: Somalia-Egypt relations are at a historical turning point and this development of relations is unprecedented in the history of the two countries. Last week, Egypt sent two planes carrying arms aid to Somalia, which attracted the attention of Ethiopian authorities.

Egypt and Ethiopia have been in disagreement for years regarding the construction and water extraction of the Nahda Dam on the Nile River, and despite holding several meetings, these differences still remain.
