New York Times: Biden is considering whether to continue or withdraw from the election campaign

According to an online report from ISNA, a key ally of US President Joe Biden, who is still trying to save his election campaign, told the New York Times that Biden is aware that if he performs well in his future interviews, including on the ABC network. If he doesn't improve the situation of last week's debate with “Donald Trump”, he won't have much chance to win.

This Biden ally, who did not want to be named, said, referring to Biden's poor performance and choppy words in the debate with Trump: “He knows that if he performs like this in just two more events, he will lose his position.”

There have been various reports previously about the possibility of Biden withdrawing from the election cycle, but this New York Times report is the first public indication that Biden is seriously considering dropping out of the election as a possible option.

The White House, however, denied the New York Times report that Biden intends to investigate the possibility of continuing the presidential election race.

Biden's situation in the first debate of the 2024 US election against Trump has raised the concern of politicians and citizens close to the Democratic Party, to the extent that many want to replace him, and those around Biden have made many efforts around the clock to reassure the voters.

Biden and his entourage claim that he has sufficient physical and mental health to run the office of the US president, but a leading investigative journalist in the US previously said in a report, citing sources close to Biden, that he had experienced a “significant cognitive decline” in the past 6 months. It has been evident in Biden, and he has been in a similar situation on debate day several times in the last 18 months.

White House officials did not respond to The New York Times' requests for comment, but one of Biden's senior advisers, who also did not want to be named, told the American outlet that Biden is “well aware of the political challenge he faces.”
