Real Sociedad reached an agreement with Mets Hummels; Official announcement in the next 36 hours

Real Sociedad picked up their first win of the season against Espanyol and now it looks like another big signing is in the works. This week, this club intensified its efforts to recruit Mets Hummels. The 35-year-old defender, who became a free agent after the end of his contract with Borussia Dortmund in June, has been in talks with the club's officials and according to Kadena Ser reports, it seems that a preliminary agreement has been reached.

Hummels will sign a one-year contract with Real Sociedad, which includes an option to extend for another year. The deal is expected to be signed on Monday, and as such, Hummels could be available for Real Sociedad's next La Liga match against Alaves on Wednesday night.

Hummels will join Real Sociedad as a replacement for Robin Lenormand, who joined Atletico Madrid this summer. Despite Hummels' old age, he is still considered one of the best options to replace Normand.
