In March, WADA added Cameroon's anti-doping authority to its “watch list,” giving the organization four months to address identified inconsistencies in the country's anti-doping program. It was reported that at the end of the monitoring period, the discrepancies were not corrected. On July 12, WADA sent a formal notice of non-compliance to Cameroon's anti-doping agency, which was not contested within 21 days.

According to this report; 6 Cameroonian athletes participated in the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris (France) and finished their competitions under the flag of their country. Cameroon's flag is now flying in stadiums, arenas and the closing ceremony of the Paris Olympics.
