Tanhach: I'm not Harry Potter!
Following Manchester United's heavy 3-0 defeat against Liverpool, Erik Tenhach emphasized that Casemiro was not the only reason for this loss. In this match, which was held in the third week of the English Premier League, Manchester United surrendered to Liverpool at home and fell to the 14th place in the table, while Liverpool joined the team with 9 points with this victory.
“We did well structurally, but individual mistakes, especially in defense, led to goals,” Tenhach told the post-match press conference. “Liverpool forwards were also very effective in finishing.”
He also said about Casmiro's mistakes that led to two goals: “Mistakes are a part of football and you should not attribute all the responsibility to one player. Casemiro's replacement was also due to the need for tactical changes after receiving the goals.
However, Tenhach refused to take a negative view of the result, stressing that magical results should not be expected from him. “I'm not Harry Potter,” he said. You have to accept this fact. It was the first game of the season for three players. Manuel Ugarte did not play a single minute and needs to regain his fitness. After that we have to add him to the team. I'm sure he will help our team, but the process will take a few weeks, maybe even a month. This situation is the same for many other players.
Referring to the two trophies won by Manchester United, Tanhach added: “We are still on the right track and you can be sure that we will get better results in the rest of the season. With the return of the injured and recovery, we will give more strength to the team.”
