“Mini Max” is one of four models known as China's AI Tigers. “Moonshot AI”, “Baichuan” and “Zhipu” are three other models that have become known as Chinese tigers in the field of artificial intelligence.
The new Video-01 tool was unveiled at the first minimax developer conference in Shanghai and was made available to the public through the company's website.
Video-01 allows the user to create a video with a maximum length of 6 seconds by entering the text description, and the production process takes about 2 minutes from the time of entering the text message to the production of the video.
Founded in December 2021, startup Mini Max is offering its new tool, Video-01, as part of its Hailuo AI platform, which also features AI text and music generation.
Last month, the owner of Tik Tok released a new text-to-video app, Jimeng, on the Apple Store, and then made it available on various Android stores on June 31.
Jimeng allows users to create 80 images or 26 videos for free, and charges a monthly subscription fee of at least 69 yuan (US$9.70) to produce more videos.
