Eviralnews,, according to the German “De Welt” newspaper, Sahra Wagenknecht, the head of the Alliance (BSW), which won significant success in the recent state elections in Germany, has suggested that the Bundesrat (Federal Council) Participate in the decision about the deployment of American long-range missiles on the soil of this country.
In a speech to his supporters, he again warned about the deployment of these missiles and said: This plan is “very dangerous”, so of course no other European country is willing to deploy such missiles on its soil. He added: “We are stupid to do this because Mr. Schultz wants it. No, we don't want that!”
With his usual tone, he also criticized the continued support of arms to Ukraine and said: Why do they think we are so stupid? Wagenknecht added: “Military companies are celebrating because their arms order books are filling up more and more, and of course, more arms deliveries to Ukraine will make Germany a belligerent party.”
BSW had already made the condition of forming a coalition in Thuringia and Saxony, including rejecting the delivery of weapons to Ukraine. Soim Dagdelen, one of the senior members of this party, said: “We want to state in a coalition agreement that the state government is against the delivery of more weapons to Ukraine, and is in favor of more diplomatic efforts by the federal government, and is against the US missile programs.” .
In Thuringia and Saxony, the BSW will likely be needed as a coalition partner to form a majority government after the recent state elections. BSW Thuringia has already accepted an invitation for preliminary talks with the Christian Democratic Party.
The coalition has stated that state governments should support diplomacy and a negotiated solution to the war in Ukraine and clearly reject the deployment of US intermediate-range missiles in Germany.
In July, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius announced that long-range US weapons, including Tomahawk cruise missiles, would be stationed on German soil for the first time since the Cold War, and that the deal would take effect in 2026. Russia then threatened a military response to the planned deployment.
Regarding possible coalition talks in the states of Saxony, Thuringia and Brandenburg after state elections in September, Wagenknecht said the BSW would only participate in a state government that clearly rejects US missile plans that would greatly increase the risk of war for Germany.
