The Minister of Interior of Venezuela, pointing out that the country's national electricity system has been the target of a terrorist attack, strongly condemned this action.

Cabio said: The National Electric Service was the target of a terrorist attack last night, and this terrorist act overshadowed the states of Tachira, Merida, Barinas, Zulia, Falcon, Nueva Sparta and parts of Guira, Miranda and Caracas (Venezuela's capital).
He emphasized: This is one of the strategies that the opposition currents use in trying to influence the society. We are warning people to please report any unusual conditions and don't hesitate we will take immediate action.
According to him, the security agencies have been dispatched along with the employees of the National Electricity Company and currently the services have been restored to normal in several areas.
He added: Our response to those who incite violence and terrorist acts and target public services will be severe.
