In response to a question about whether Durov will share sensitive information on Telegram with Western countries, the head of Russia's foreign intelligence service said: “I hope he will not allow this to happen.”
According to Russian and French media reports, Pavel Durov was arrested at the Paris airport on charges of issuing a license to access illegal content on Telegram.
Durov's arrest, which took place on August 24, caused many reactions.
Telegram company also stated that it complies with EU laws and called the accusations against Durov “nonsense”.
