Amir Abdollahian: We hope to take forward steps in relations with Egypt in the near future
According to the foreign policy correspondent of Tasnim News Agency, Hossein AmirAbdollahian, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of our country, after meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Egypt, Sameh Shoukry in Geneva, told reporters about this meeting: In the meeting between the presidents of the two countries in Riyadh and on the sidelines The meeting of heads of Islamic and Arab countries was held on the issue of support for Palestine, Mr. Raisi and Mr. Sisi agreed to take practical steps to return the relations between the two countries to a normal state.
He added: “Today we had detailed discussions about how to implement this intention, will and order of the heads of the two countries.” Things are progressing in a good direction and we hope to take forward steps in the near future.

Yesterday, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of our country participated in the 55th annual meeting of the Human Rights Council, the high-level part of the United Nations Disarmament Conference and the Palestine sub-meeting, and explained the positions and views of the Islamic Republic of Iran regarding Palestine and the ongoing crisis in Gaza and the West Bank.
Amir Abdollahian also met and talked with Anthony Guterres, the Secretary General of the United Nations, Miriana Spoliaric Iger, the head of the International Committee of the Red Cross, and the foreign ministers of Vietnam, Jordan, Kuwait, Indonesia, and Finland.
Today, Tuesday, he also met and talked with the foreign ministers of Venezuela and Egypt.
