Medvedev: The West distorts Islam and Christianity for its own purposes
Eviralnews, Dmitry Medvedev, head of Russia's National Security Council, wrote in an article that Washington and its allies are trying to change the principles and foundations of the world's religions in order to secure their interests and spread “deviant beliefs”.
He wrote in an article in the newspaper “Rossiyskaya Gazeta” with the title “Humanity must get rid of the legacy of the colonial system”, “Western countries are not only trying to dominate the financial resources, but also trying to dominate the way of thinking of the inhabitants of the world.”
Medvedev wrote: “Unfortunately, they (Western countries) have reached a set of moral standards and behavioral rules over several centuries, and world religions have also been distorted, and Washington and its followers are trying hard to change the basic elements of Christianity and Islam in such a way that serve their own interests and then obsessively spread them around the world under the title of “modernized teachings”.
He referred to this issue as “new religious colonialism” and wrote that the West is trying to attract millions of people to its new deviant beliefs.
