Nabi Beri's sympathy with the people of Gaza on the eve of Eid al-Adha
Eviralnews, “Nabieh Berri”, the Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, announced that he will not accept the messages of congratulations for this year's Eid al-Adha because of the tragedy that the Islamic Ummah has suffered in the shadow of the Gaza war.
Apologizing for not accepting Eid al-Adha greeting messages, Nabih Bari announced that in the current situation of Lebanon and the region, as a result of the continued destructive aggression and genocidal war launched by the Israel regime against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, as well as in the shadow of this regime's aggression against Lebanon's southern borders with occupied Palestine, he cannot accept Eid al-Adha greetings.
He further saluted the resistance fighters, martyrs and all those who show patience and steadfastness against the occupying enemy.
Addressing the Lebanese and all Muslims on the eve of Eid al-Adha, the Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament said: I wish that this Eid will bring unity in speech and position as well as stability and security to Lebanon and the Arab and Islamic nations.
This year, Eid al-Adha comes at a time when more than 130,000 Palestinian civilians have been martyred and injured in the barbaric crimes committed by the occupation regime against the Gaza Strip, and accordingly, Muslims cannot celebrate Eid al-Adha happily like in previous years.
In this context, Sheikh “Ikrama Sabri”, the preacher of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the head of the Supreme Islamic Council in Quds, recently addressed the Palestinian nation and all Arab and Islamic nations in a speech on the eve of Eid Al-Adha, declaring: In view of the enemy's destructive war against Gaza, We ask the Arab and Islamic nations to limit the rituals of Eid al-Adha to religious slogans, prayers and slaughtering the sacrifice and not to celebrate.
Sheikh Sabri emphasized: We must feel responsibility and sympathize with our brothers in the Gaza Strip and other Palestinian areas who are facing calamities.
