Pakistan: Afghanistan's expectation for trade is unrealistic

According to the regional office of Tasnim News Agency, “Zahed Hussain”, the head of the National Trade Group and the head of the Association of Businessmen and Intellectuals of Pakistan, accused the Taliban government and stated that Afghanistan's soil is being used against Islamabad, and in such a situation, it is unrealistic to expect Kabul to conclude trade agreements with Pakistan.

He said that on the one hand, the Taliban wants business relations with Islamabad, and on the other hand, Afghanistan's soil is being used against Pakistan.

Stating that Chinese investors are safe in Afghanistan, but insecure in Pakistan, Zahid Hussain added: “Terrorists follow the agenda of scaring domestic and foreign investors.”

It should be noted that after the recent suicide attack on the car of Chinese employees in the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan's counter-terrorism center declared the perpetrator of this attack to be an Afghan citizen.

The State Bank of Pakistan had announced in December of last year that the export of Afghanistan's commercial goods to this country has decreased by more than 72% in five months of last year.

“Zabihullah Mujahid”, the spokesman of the Taliban government, announced in early November of last year, at the same time as Pakistan imposed new restrictions on Afghan businessmen and transit from this country: Kabul has started work to find alternative transit routes and is trying to secure safe routes. Find to transfer goods to Afghanistan.

The end of the message.
