Pakistan became a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council

Pakistan was elected as a non-permanent member of the Security Council for a two-year term by winning 182 votes of the United Nations General Assembly.

According to the Anna Science and Technology News Agency Policy Group, in an important diplomatic victory, this country has been elected as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council for a two-year term (2025 and 2026).

Pakistan managed to get 182 votes out of 185 votes in the UN General Assembly.
