The future perspective of Gaza from the dividing line of America/Arabs sat at the European negotiating table

Just yesterday, Monday, Brussels hosted an informal meeting of some Arab foreign ministers with the European Union – a meeting whose outcome can be evaluated in relation to America's plans in the post-war period of Gaza.

Eviralnews, EU foreign policy official Josep Burrell says that the Arab countries have presented their plan for peace in the Middle East to the foreign ministers of this union and proposed holding an international conference in order to implement a two-state solution to end the Hamas-Israel conflict.

This proposal was made during an informal meeting hosted by Brussels yesterday between the foreign ministers of the European Union and their counterparts from Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and the Secretary General of the Arab League.

At the same time, Burrell stressed that Israel must implement and respect the decisions of the International Court of Justice to immediately stop operations in Rafah.

In another part of his statement, he said that he had received a green light from the EU foreign ministers to reactivate the European Border Assistance Mission in Rafah.

A European mission

The United States has proposed to the European Union to revive the Rafah border mission

Burrell is referring to the revival of the European Union Border Assistance Mission (EUBAM). A mission that has not been operational since 2007, when Hamas took full control of Gaza.

Three days ago, Reuters said that The US has offered to revive the mission to the European Union – another sign of the European, American and Arab efforts to divide the administration of Gaza in the post-war period.

Of course, as it appears from the reports, the negotiations regarding the establishment of the European Union mission at the Rafah border crossing are in the preliminary stage, but this establishment will not take place before the end of the war between Israel and Hamas.

It goes without saying that such a mission can only be carried out if both Egypt and Israel agree to it; In addition, this plan must be unanimously approved by the EU countries at the current stage, which can be another challenge.

An American scenario

Rumors about the revival of the European Union's border mission in Rafah for the post-war period come as Politico, citing four American officials, reported recently that the administration of President Joe Biden is considering appointing an American official as a senior adviser. It is civilian for the mainly Palestinian forces that will take control of Gaza after the end of the conflict between the occupiers and Hamas.

The US floated the idea of appointing a civilian adviser to Gaza after two members of Israel's war cabinet criticized Netanyahu for not planning for the post-war period.

According to officials, this civilian adviser will be stationed in the region and will work closely with the commander of these forces, who will be Palestinian or from an Arab country.

All of the officials, who spoke to POLITICO on condition of anonymity, emphasized that it was part of a US plan to play a “prominent” role in the aftermath of the conflict, and was presented with the pretense of pulling Gaza out of chaos.

The idea of a “civilian consultant” is one of the scenarios discussed in “Day After War” and is complementary to other scenarios that focus on developing the economy of the Gaza Strip and rebuilding the destroyed cities with the presence of a Western-Arab coalition.

In Israel's war cabinet, out of the total of three people who have the right to vote, two people, including War Minister Yoav Galant and Benny Gantz, one of the leaders of the opposition, have drawn a line for the third person, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who will manage Gaza in The post-war period offered a civilian plan – a sign of the two men's alignment with the Washington administration.

An independent country called Palestine

Middle Eastern and Arab counterparts have challenged EU members to show a practical commitment to ending the status quo, according to Borrell, the EU's foreign policy chief.

The efforts of the Europeans to form an independent Palestinian state have been pursued more intensively since last week, when three countries, Spain, Ireland and Norway, announced that they would recognize Palestine.

These three European countries are going to implement their decision in an official action today.

However, the European Union is still far from reaching a consensus regarding the adoption of a single position regarding the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, and this disagreement is what the Israel media is manipulating.

Welcoming the decision of three European countries to recognize the Palestinian state, Hamas says that this is what happened as a result of the Al-Aqsa storm operation, and we are looking for a single Palestinian government in all of Palestine and we will not allow any party to interfere in our affairs.

While Saudi Arabia was on the path to normalizing relations with Israel without any obstacles, the Al-Aqsa storm brought the Palestinian issue back to the headlines of Arab foreign policy once again. However, even in the current situation, they are trying to minimize the axis of resistance as much as possible.

The ideal of the Israel regime and the Western allies is that the role of Hamas in the post-war period will be reduced to zero, but the United States has come to realize that Israel's stated goal of eradicating Hamas is an illusion.

A sign of America's eyes opening to the truth of Hamas is Washington agreeing to a possible compromise between Fatah and Hamas with the mediation of Russia and China.
