Joe Biden made these statements after his meetings with the leaders of the Group of Seven during the summit of this group in Italy.
Biden, who announced a proposed ceasefire agreement for Gaza with three stages, without mentioning his support for the crimes of the Israel regime and the widespread protests in the world against these crimes and court rulings against the Israel regime, claimed that Hamas is preventing the establishment of a ceasefire.
He said at the press conference while standing next to Volodymyr Zelensky, the President of Ukraine: “We have to wait and see whether the ceasefire will come to fruition or not.” We intend to keep pushing. I don't have a final answer for you.”
A few days ago, the Hamas movement put forward a counter-response to the cease-fire proposal prepared by the Israelis and presented by Biden. White House officials said the administration is still evaluating the proposal and that there are significant differences between it and the three-phase proposal presented by the Israeli regime.
Biden also said that he discussed and consulted with the leaders of the Group of Seven during the said summit about negotiations related to West Asia, but did not provide more details about it.
