A new Shovel Knight game is in development
Yacht Club Games has confirmed that a new Shovel Knight game is in the works.
Since the first Shovel Knight game was released over ten years ago, this IP has become an icon in the gaming industry. Although Yacht Club Games has expanded the IP over the years with DLC, spin-offs and crossovers and more, fans have long been waiting for confirmation of an original sequel. Now it is known that the sequel of this game is being developed.
Yacht Club Games has just announced that they are working on the next main Shovel Knight game. Also, the creators have confirmed that the said sequel, which is under development for about 4 years, will introduce the series to a completely new dimension of the game. Does this indicate that the new game will be a 3D title? We have to wait and see.

The developer also says it has hidden clues about Shovel Knight's future in past games in the series—Treasure Trove, Dig, and Pocket Dungeon—so fans have more to do.
