Various sources consider Puria Valley's birthplace to be Gerganj, one of the cities of Khorezm, although the opinions about the birthplace of this warrior are not the same and there are differences between them. Some people consider him to be from Ganja and others from Herat, some say that he was born in Khoi and Selmas.

The available research in this case shows that the probability of Poriya Vali being Khoi is stronger. In the book of ancient sports of Iran written by Dr. Verjavand, scroll-like images can be seen, which are related to the Safavid period, and Poriya Wali introduces himself as Khoi people.

There is another evidence in the book Marat al-Sharq written by Ayatollah Murashi Najafi, this book examines the biography of Shiite scholars, which, referring to the tombstone of Puriya Wali, introduces him from the people of Khoi. In this book, topics and contents are written about the meanings of martyrdom, faith, Islam, purity, jihad, self, fasting, love and zakat.

A part of the Masnavi of Kanz al-Haqaiq talks about Hazrat Mahdi and his attributes, then the mystical contents of the book are narrated in the form of anecdotes. Puriya Vali's Divan and Mahmood's Rabaiyat Pahlawan are two other works attributed to Puriya Vali. Poriya Wali's poems are very simple and are far from the twists and turns in the poem.
