Borrell's spokesperson: It is not possible to include the name of IRGC in the list of terrorist organizations

Referring to the political procedures for identifying terrorist organizations, the chief spokesperson of the European Commission clarified that it is not possible to add the name of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps to the list of so-called terrorist organizations.

“I can only repeat what we have announced many times,” Peter Stano said at a press conference in Brussels on Friday, according to the Anna Science and Technology News Agency's policy group. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and all its members have been sanctioned by the European Union and the High Representative (responsible for the foreign policy of the European Union) has also explained about the (obstacles) of identifying this organization as a terrorist entity.

He stated that the name of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps may be added to the list of so-called terrorist organizations when a European court makes a relevant decision in this regard. According to this European official, this has not happened yet.

The discussion of adding the name of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as the official military body of Iran to the list of terrorist organizations became the subject of the Western media during the unrest of Azar 1401. This illegal plan made its way to political circles due to the movements of anti-revolutionary groups and the support of the lobby of the Israel regime, but it failed.

In England, the officials of this country announced that such an action is not in the interest of diplomatic relations between the two countries and they do not want to intensify relations with Iran. According to reports, British Foreign Minister David Cameron recently poured clean water on his friend Benjamin Netanyahu, Prime Minister of the Israel regime, during his trip to the occupied territories, and announced that the London government will not recognize Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as a so-called terrorist organization.

In Europe, the head of the Union's foreign policy has announced that such an action is not possible without a court order. Josep Burrell said in a meeting with reporters last week: We need a verdict that shows that the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps was involved in a terrorist case. In the current situation, there is no such file and I told my colleagues that the answer as it is was announced a few months ago.

According to Anna's report, Hossein Amirabdollahian, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of our country, stated earlier in a conversation with the European Union's foreign policy official: The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps is an official and sovereign institution that plays an important and vital role in ensuring the national security of Iran and the region, especially in the fight against Terrorism has been and is.

He said to those European officials who want to identify the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as a so-called terrorist organization: they should think about the negative consequences of their emotional behavior on Europe and focus on the path of diplomacy, constructive interaction and rationality.

The head of our country's diplomacy pointed out: it is necessary to respect mutual security in the world of diplomacy and instead of following the language of threats and unfriendly actions, increasing mutual trust should be on the agenda.
