Climate change did not spare the animal world either
African elephants will soon become extinct without urgent international help
According to Isna, citing Erth, the results of new alarming research have shown how climate change affects African elephants.
This study was conducted by a group from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, USA, and the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS), which shows alarming results and calls for an urgent call to action by the international community.
Older African elephants face a significantly reduced chance of survival due to the impact of climate change. This not only threatens the resilience of species, but also disrupts the ecosystems in which they live.
Using a dynamical systems model, this review highlights the vulnerability of different age groups of elephants to rising temperatures, while emphasizing the need for cooperation and conservation strategies.
If we can do a good job protecting elephants, our efforts will be reflected in other species such as lions and mountain gorillas.
This research serves not only as a call to protect African elephants, but also as a plan to protect migratory species across different ecosystems and political boundaries.
