Forcing Muslim students in Kenya to go to church – Mehr news agency Iran and world's news

According to Mehr news agency, quoted by Reuters, a university in Kenya was accused of forcing Muslim students to attend church.

The speaker of Kenya's parliament on Saturday ordered the country's education ministry to investigate allegations that a university in the country is forcing Muslim students to practice Christian practices.

D-Star University, a private Christian university near the Kenyan capital Nairobi, does not grade students who do not attend church, sources said.

According to local reports, the university has denied the allegations.

“Mohammed Ali”, a member of the Kenyan Parliament, who brought these charges against D-Star University, says it is against people's right to religious freedom.

Kenya's Minister of Education, however, says the university authorities have declared that it is a Christian institution with its own beliefs and values, and students who enroll in it agree to follow Christian values and participate in its spiritual activities. .
