Germany: Peace in Ukraine is not possible without Russia's participation

Eviralnews, German Prime Minister Olaf Schultz has supported Russia's participation in the peace process of Ukraine. He said at the Ukrainian Summit in Switzerland: “It is true that peace in Ukraine cannot be achieved without the participation of Russia.”

At the same time, he asked Russia to completely withdraw from Ukraine. According to Shultz, if Russia stops its attacks and withdraws its forces from Ukraine, it can end this war today or at any time. He claimed that Russia has so far refused to respond to the request for peace based on international laws and the UN Charter.

A new president will be elected in the United States on November 5. Olaf Schultz also expects Joe Biden to be elected for a second term.

Schultz's support for Biden's re-election in America

In an interview with WELT TV at the G7 summit in Bari, Italy, Schultz said: “I think it is possible that the current president of the United States will win this election.

To justify this issue, he said that Biden has adopted policies that have led to proper economic development in his country. The chancellor sees these as “good arguments” for a second term for the current US president.

The German chancellor rejected speculations about the US president's health, saying: “I think Joe Biden is a person who is very clear, he knows exactly what he is doing and he is also one of the most experienced people, especially When it comes to international politics. He is one of the most experienced politicians who travel around the world.

The German chancellor is also firmly of the opinion that he will again be the Social Democratic Party's candidate for chancellorship in next year's federal election. In an interview with ARD, in response to the question whether he is sure that he will be the next candidate of his party for chancellorship, given the criticisms, he answered briefly: Yes. At the same time, Schultz is always far behind Boris Pistorius, the Minister of Defense of this country, in the polls.

At the same time, Schultz confirmed why he did not want to seek a vote of confidence and step down after the traffic light parties' poor result in the European elections.

Schultz did not want to assess from the outside the fact that French President Emmanuel Macron has taken a different path and is holding parliamentary elections in the short term. He emphasized: France has a completely different political system than Germany. Schultz said: The president is directly elected in this country.

Schultz also called on the traffic light coalition to pull itself together after its poor results in the European elections. In an interview with NTV, he repeated the issue that after the defeat of the traffic light parties in the elections, it is not possible to simply return to normal life. This means that, first of all, there is homework to be done.

According to the German chancellor, the most urgent issue is next year's budget – a task that we must solve soon and in time for the beginning of next month.” Here, he says, is the issue of “good growth” and modern jobs.

Regarding the federal elections next year, he is sure that he can show a good balance sheet and a good perspective despite the recent defeat in the European elections.

But I want to make it clear that this means everyone needs to stop now and make a firm decision to do this and take action,” Schultz added.

In European elections, the Social Democratic Party had its worst result ever across the country with 13.9 percent, far behind the far-right Alternative for Germany and the Christian Democrats.
