President Ghazouani candidate for a second term at the head of Mauritania

In a letter distributed to the media on Wednesday, the outgoing president of Mauritania, Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, announced that he was a candidate for the June 29 presidential election. Favorite of the ballot, he will face, among others, his rival who came second in the 2019 presidential election, Biram Ould Dah Ould Abeid.
