Eviralnews news agency, the Jeddah Tower will be 1.5 square kilometers at a distance of about 172 meters from the Burj Khalifa of the United Arab Emirates and with a height of more than a thousand meters. The skyscraper is described as the “centerpiece” of the Jeddah Economic City (JEC) development, an ambitious project aimed at revitalizing Jeddah's urban core.
Chicago-based architecture studio Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill (AS + GG) is leading the construction. This skyscraper has a narrow section that conceptually evokes a native flower emerging from the dry sands of the desert. This tower will include four-season hotel, residential units, office space, luxurious penthouses and the world's highest observatory overlooking the Red Sea. The total cost of this project is estimated at 20 billion dollars, of which approximately 1.2 billion dollars is allocated only for the tower.
