Abu al-Ghait's warning to Netanyahu about the occupation of Saladin's axis

According to the report of the international group of Tasnim news agency, following the continued threats of the Israel authorities to attack Rafah, which has caused a lot of reaction at the regional level and has especially aroused the concern of Egypt, “Ahmad Abul Ghait”, the Secretary General of the Arab League, in a speech to Prime Minister “Benyamin Netanyahu” The occupying regime warned in this regard and said to Netanyahu that “neither test Egypt nor the hardness of Aswan granite”. (referring to Aswan region in southern Egypt)

These words of the Secretary General of the Arab League were expressed after the occupying regime spoke of its intention to carry out new military operations in Rafah, which will lead to the occupation of Salah al-Din axis (Philadelphia).

Ahmed Abul Ghait stated that Israel's action to occupy this axis will not serve the reconciliation process between Egypt and Israel in any way and will affect the future of peace and stability in the Middle East.

The Secretary General of the Arab League said that the future of peace in the region is beyond the interests of Benjamin Netanyahu, who wants to avoid going to jail and stay in power.

Referring to the deterioration of the humanitarian situation in Gaza, he further stated that the Arab efforts regarding the Palestinian issue are still continuing, while the people of Gaza do not find a source for their daily food.

The Secretary General of the Arab League also stated in response to the targeting of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) by the Israel regime and its supporters that the purpose of these actions against UNRWA is to eliminate the Palestinian refugees issue.

Hebrew media reported that Egyptian officials have expressed concern over Israel's military operation in Rafah, the southernmost city of the Gaza Strip, and that Cairo is seeking diplomatic ways to prevent the attack. Egypt is also preparing to establish red lines to protect its citizens.

This is while the Israel regime announced to Egypt in the middle months of the Gaza war that it intends to occupy the Salah al-Din axis between the border of Gaza and Egypt and asked the Egyptian soldiers to vacate the border.

Saladin axis is located along the border between Gaza strip and Egypt. It is 14 km long and extends from the Mediterranean Sea in the north to the Karam Abu Salem Pass in the south.

According to one of the clauses of the Camp David Agreement (Normalization Agreement between Egypt and the Israel regime) signed in 1979 between Egypt and the occupying regime, the Salah al-Din axis is considered a buffer zone along the border. Before the withdrawal of the occupying regime from the Gaza Strip in 2005, this axis was under the control of this regime.
