Amir Abdollahian: If America is looking for peace in the region, the solution is to stop the war in Gaza

According to the foreign policy reporter of Tasnim news agency, Hossein AmirAbdollahian, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of our country, met and talked with Abdullah Bouhabib, his Lebanese counterpart.

After this meeting, the two foreign ministers spoke about the results of the consultations in their press conference.

Lebanon's foreign minister said in a press conference with Amir Abdollahian: Lebanon has never sought war and will never seek to establish peace in the region. We talked about the crimes in Gaza and emphasized the need for all countries to stop the war in Gaza and send aid to this region.

AmirAbdollahian: We did not welcome the spread of war in the region

Hossein AmirAbdollahian, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of our country, also said in a press conference with his Lebanese counterpart: “Today, we had very important discussions with Mr. Wazir and the Lebanese authorities regarding the situation in the region and cooperation between Iran and Lebanon.”

He added: We emphasize that war is not the solution and we did not welcome the spread of war in the region. We believe that the resistance of Palestine and Hamas has acted both in the way of standing against the crimes of the Zionist regime and in the wise political way.

Iran's Foreign Minister continued: Of course, it is clear to the world that more than 4 months of genocide in Gaza and the West Bank has not achieved anything for the Zionist regime and its supporters. The United States of America is moving in two directions at the same time. The first path is to continue sending weapons and participate in genocide, and the second path is to talk about a political solution.

Amir Abdollahian said: We say clearly that if America is looking for peace in the region, the solution is to stop the war and genocide in Gaza.

He added: We received promising reports from the Lebanese high officials and the minister regarding the internal developments in Lebanon. Iran wants nothing but good for Lebanon.
