Another failure for America in Africa; Military presence in Niger was declared illegal

According to the report of Tasnim International News Agency, Niger's military council announced in a televised statement in the late hours of Saturday night that it has unilaterally canceled the country's agreement with the United States regarding the military presence in Niger.

The military spokesman of this council announced on official television that the US military presence in Niger is illegal and in conflict with the country's national interests.

Seven months ago, the military ousted Niger's pro-Western president, Mohamed Bazoum, and ended France's military presence in its territory.

The new government of Niger, along with the military governments of Mali and Burkina Faso, are in favor of Russia and the president of this country, and their rise to power has led to the weakening of the influence of European countries and the United States in the African continent.
