Hamas: Prisoner exchange negotiations are ruled out

A member of the political office of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement says that following the Israel regime's crime in Rafah, the Hamas negotiating team will not participate in the prisoner exchange negotiations with this regime.

According to the political group of the Anna Science and Technology News Agency, Bassem Naim, a member of the political office of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), emphasized that because of the recent crime committed by the Israel regime in Rafah, Hamas will not participate in the new round of prisoner exchange negotiations.

“Hamas will never accept that negotiations are used to buy time for Netanyahu's government to implement its plans in the Gaza Strip,” Naim told Ryanovsi news agency.

The Saudi newspaper “Al-Sharq al-Awsat” also quoted a source affiliated with Hamas and reported that this movement has announced to intermediaries that it will not participate in these negotiations due to the recent massacre in Rafah.

The “Kan” channel, as the state television of the Israeli regime, also says that the leaders of this regime are still waiting for the response of Hamas to determine whether there is a way to advance these negotiations or not.

More than 40 Palestinians were martyred and dozens of others were injured in the bombardment of refugees' tents near UNRWA warehouses in the northwest of Rafah, which was carried out by the Israel regime's fighters last night. Israeli fighters fired more than 8 rockets at the tents of Palestinian refugees, and Palestinian Red Crescent teams transferred the martyrs and the injured to the hospital.

Earlier, Reuters quoted informed sources and wrote that the ceasefire/prisoner exchange talks will resume this week.

The agreement to resume negotiations was made public after the meeting between the heads of the CIA and Mossad with the Prime Minister of Qatar.
