According to this agreement, the militias of the armed groups should be integrated into the Sudanese army and the aforementioned groups should participate in the power structure.

Malit has a strategic location that is completely occupied by rapid response forces, interrupting the delivery of humanitarian aid to people affected by the military conflicts in Darfur.
