Saudi Arabia.. agreements worth $39 billion at the Future of Aviation Conference | Economy

Participants in the Future of Aviation Conference, hosted by the Saudi capital, Riyadh, signed deals worth a total of ($39 billion) in the first two days of the conference, which began on Monday and will last 3 days.

The official Saudi News Agency, SPA, reported on Wednesday that the agreements included the purchase of aviation services, aircraft, logistical services, information technology and maintenance.

• She reported that the first day of the Future of Aviation Conference witnessed the announcement of 47 memorandums of understanding, agreements and deals worth $19 billion.

The deals included aviation services, aircraft purchase orders, shipping and logistics services, advanced air mobility, human resources development, information technology, in addition to agreements related to maintenance, repair and renewal.

• While the second day of the conference recorded the signing of 102 memorandums of understanding, agreements and deals, with a total value of $20 billion.

The Future of Aviation Conference continues its activities today, Wednesday, with the participation of more than 30 ministers, 77 leaders of civil aviation authorities, heads of air transport companies in the world, and 7,000 aviation industry experts and leaders from more than 120 countries.

The conference topics focus on issues of human capabilities and the future of the sector, ways of cooperation and the network of organizations in civil aviation, issues of sustainability, innovation and technology, and business opportunities in the sector.

During the conference activities, the General Authority of Civil Aviation launched the state of the aviation sector report in the Kingdom in its first edition, which showed the sector’s contribution to the Kingdom’s economy at $53 billion in 2023 and the provision of 958,000 jobs in various regions of the Kingdom.
