Surrender of 100 Somali Al-Shabaab terrorists

According to the report of Tasnim International News Agency, the federal government of Somalia announced: In the last few weeks, 100 terrorists affiliated with al-Shabaab surrendered to the government authorities in different regions of the country.

The Mogadishu government's statement said: Dozens of Al-Shabaab terrorists surrendered to the government authorities in the states of Golmdag, Hirshbili, Jubaland, Mogadishu and the southwestern regions of the country.

According to the Mogadishu New Somali newspaper, in this statement, referring to the general amnesty of the President of Somalia, it is stated: This amnesty provides a platform for armed people to return to society by abandoning violent actions and live a peaceful life.

Welcoming the separation of armed individuals from terrorist groups, the Somali government emphasized that the fight against extremism and terrorism will continue so that stability and security prevail in the country.

Al-Shabaab is a terrorist group affiliated with al-Qaeda, which started its activities in Somalia in 2004 and has disrupted the stability and security of this country and the Horn of Africa by carrying out terrorist operations.

With the election of “Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud” as the president of Somalia, the fight against the Al-Shabaab terrorist group continued with greater strength and power, and the army of this country was able to liberate many areas of the country from the control of the Al-Shabaab elements with the help of armed men of the Somali tribes.
