Telegram founder's revelation against America / Google and Apple censor whatever they want

Pavel Durov, the founder of Telegram, said: Apple and Google can censor everything that a person reads and accesses on their mobile phone.

According to the Anna Science and Technology News Agency, quoted by Reuters, Pavel Durov, the billionaire founder of Telegram, said in an interview: Telegram messaging application, one of the most popular social media platforms, will probably cross the border of one billion monthly active users within a year. Because it is spreading like a forest fire.

Telegram, based in Dubai, was founded by Russian-born Durov and left Russia in 2014 after denying calls to shut down dissident communities on its VK social media platform.

Durov, who Forbes estimates is worth $15.5 billion, said some governments have sought to pressure him, but the app, which now has 900 million active users, must remain a neutral platform and not a geopolitical player. .

Meta is one of the main competitors of Telegram, which has more than two billion monthly active users. Telegram is ranked as one of the main social media platforms after Facebook, YouTube, WhatsApp, Instagram, TikTok and WeChat.

He said in this interview: “It may seem funny, but by default I imagine that the devices I use are at risk.” Because users use iPhones or Android mobiles, and after what I experienced in America, in terms of security, I have very little trust in platforms that are developed in America.

Durov said in a part of this interview that he left Russia because he could not take orders from any government. About leaving Russia and trying to live in different cities, including Berlin, London, Singapore, San Francisco, he said: I prefer to be free than to take orders from anyone.

According to him, the bureaucracy in these places has been very exhausting for hiring talented international workers. He also mentioned that he was attacked in San Francisco by men who tried to steal his mobile phone.

In another part of his speech, he announced that American security agencies, including the FBI, pay special attention to him. These organizations have tried to hire one of his engineers to infiltrate the Telegram platform.

Regarding freedom of speech, Durov also believes that the biggest obstacles in this area are not governments, but big competitors like Apple and Google. The founder of Telegram added: These 2 platforms can censor everything that a person reads and accesses on his mobile phone.
