Ansarullah's reaction to the suppression of pro-Gaza protesters in America

According to the report of Tasnim International News Agency, the political office of Yemen's Ansarullah Movement condemned the suppression of the peaceful demonstrations of pro-Gaza American citizens in the universities of this country by the American authorities.

This powerful Yemeni people's movement thanked and appreciated the moral positions of the American protesters, which shows their increased social awareness.

The political office of Yemen's Ansarullah announced that the unjustified suppression of the protesters reveals the falsehood of the American authorities' claims of defending freedom, protecting human rights, and expanding democracy.

CNN reported today that the American police arrested about 100 students at the University of Southern California and dozens more at the University of Texas at Austin. At Emory University in the state of Georgia, two university professors were also arrested.

American universities are still the scene of massive student protests against the crimes of the Israel regime in Gaza; Scenes reminiscent of the student movement against the Vietnam War in the 1970s.

At the same time, the students of the University of Pennsylvania set up a tent and sit-in in the university environment in support of the people of Gaza. The student newspaper “Daily Pennsylvania” wrote that the sit-in students are demanding the withdrawal of the university's investments from occupied Palestine.

In the meantime, the prosecutor of the state of Georgia accused the students of “anti-Semitism” like other American officials and claimed: “No one has the legal right to shut down universities through camping and sit-ins and anti-Semitic threats.”

Supporting the crackdown on students and arresting them, he added: “We will proudly stand by any university that takes the necessary measures to keep the students of the state safe.”
