Insider: Xbox wants the next Fallout to come out sooner

With the success of the Fallout TV series and looking at what fans of the franchise have long wanted, it's easy to see that waiting several years for a new game in the series would be brutal. But a reliable insider has claimed that Microsoft and the Xbox team are looking for a way to release the next version of the franchise sooner.

Currently, Fallout 5 isn't expected to be ready until the 2030s, as Bethesda is currently working on The Elder Scrolls 6. Apart from the new version of TES, there are promises to release an expansion pack for Starfield. All these projects make us not see Fallout 5 anytime soon. But now with Fallout becoming more and more popular thanks to the TV series, it makes sense for Microsoft to start producing the next game as soon as possible.

Jez Corden, a well-known insider, claimed on The Xbox Two podcast that Microsoft is aware of the demand for the Fallout brand and that the only logical path is to speed up the development of Fallout 5 by taking the IP from Bethesda and handing it over. It's to another studio. In other words, they plan to make the first original Fallout game by a studio other than Bethesda in years.

Will the Fallout series be handed over to Obsidian again?
